Frequently Asked Questions...

Q:  Do you provide all the extras (salads, rolls, drinks, etc.) for the pig roasts?

A:  No, we do not do total catering.  We do pigs only, with one exception, which is a sauce that has been very popular.  We have worked with many full-service caterers over the years.  They have us prepare the pig and they provide all the extras.

Q:  Do you sell uncooked pigs, ready for roasting to other caterers or individuals, who have their own cookers?

A:  Yes, we sell many pigs to people who want the assurance of a "clean" quality pig.

Q:  Do you deliver the cooker?  How big is the cooker?

A:  For a fee, we will deliver if you cannot pick it up.  You need a pick-up truck to haul the cooker.

Q:  Can I place the cooker on the lawn or driveway without any damage?

A:  Yes, all you need is a flat surface to set the cooker on, ther is no damage from heat.  Be sure area chosen is easily accessible.  You do not want to carry the cooker.  You can easily carry the pig on the spit to any location.

Q:  If I am making it myself, what do I need?

A:  Electric, meat thermometer, hot pads, table to cut the pig, knives, charcoal (which we will advice) and lighter fluid.

Q:  Must I clean the equipment after use?

A:  No, we clean the stainless steel equipment and cooker.

Q:  What if it rains and I want to cancel?

A:  The pig is butchered  and ready to go very timely.  The pig can be cooked in the rain, but it will require a little more time.  Covering the cooker with a piece of plastic will certainly help.  If you must cancel or re-schedule at the last minute, there will be a fee for our effort.

Q:  How do I schedule a pig roast?  Is there a deposit required?

A:  No, deposit is not required.  For more details, please contact Terry or Sandy to explain.

Q:  What is it going to cost for a pig large enough to feed 100 people?

A:  Because the cost of the pig may change weekly I cannot guarantee the exact price but the cost will be approximately $250.00 if you are cooking it yourself.  Please call for exact quote.

Q:  How much time must I allow to cook a pig?

A:  Cooking time depends on the size of the pig being roasted.

      50 people  6 1/2 hours
    100 people  8       hours
    150 people  11     hours
